A Truly Global Product We operate in the enterprise segment, serving nonprofit organizations across North America, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Europe. We’re building a large and complex product ecosystem that serves nonprofits, donors, and partners around the world. The platform includes a modern checkout experience and customizable widgets (each a standalone SPA), donor, organization, and partner portals, admin tools, and several internal apps. Our backend is powered by Node.js (Koa, NestJS) and MongoDB. The frontend stack includes Webpack, Vue.js, and React, with nearly all code written in TypeScript. For high-throughput messaging and background processing, we use Kafka (for millions of events) and Bull (Redis). Analytics data is stored in ClickHouse, and we use Elasticsearch for search. The Team We are a distributed team of 120+ product professionals, including 35+ engineers. Our team members are mainly based across Spain, Poland, Portugal, Georgia, Armenia, Serbia, Turkey, and Cyprus. Many of our developers bring 5 - 10+ years of experience, and we foster a culture of deep technical curiosity and knowledge sharing. About the Role As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will work in a platform engineering role focused on building quality infrastructure and tooling for the entire engineering organization. SDET does not write product tests for teams. Instead, the role focuses on: Supporting services, utilities, and applications related to quality control Developing CI/CD infrastructure for testing Conducting R&D and proof-of-concept work Building test frameworks and pipelines Performing quality analytics What You'll Do Design and maintain reusable quality tooling and services for engineering teams Build and evolve E2E test frameworks from scratch Develop and support CI/CD pipelines for automated testing Work with mocking and service virtualization tools Conduct R&D and validate technical solutions via POC Collaborate with product and QA teams to improve test infrastructure Build analytics and observability around test quality and stability Requirements 5+ years of experience in test automation and quality tooling development Strong developer background JavaScript / TypeScript at Middle+ level Understanding of backend architecture and ability to build a service using NestJS Understanding of React architecture and component lifecycle Experience building E2E frameworks from scratch Hands-on experience with Jest / Mocha and Playwright / Puppeteer Experience with mocking and service virtualization (Sinon, Nock, MockServer / mountebank) Docker (images, networks, volumes, docker-compose) Jenkins (pipeline development) Understanding of CI/CD best practices for automated testing Basic understanding of MongoDB and NoSQL principles Architectural understanding of Kafka, Redis, and ClickHouse Ability to build production-ready tooling rather than one-off scripts Platform thinking and ability to create reusable solutions for multiple teams Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take technical ownership Nice to Have Contract testing (PACT or similar) Quality analytics (ClickHouse, Grafana) Experience reducing flaky tests and optimizing CI Building quality metrics and test observability R&D and POC experience Experience with AI tools Additional programming languages Why work with us A strong, collaborative product team that owns what it builds Clear product vision and access to real customer feedback from global nonprofit leaders Flat structure: no politics, just great work with great people Transparent company culture-we share how we’re growing, where revenue comes from, and what’s next Long-term focus: we offer equity options and value sustained, meaningful contribution Benefits 31 days off 100% paid telemedicine plan Home Office Setup Assistance: the company offers assistance with purchasing furniture (office chair, office desk, monitor) and other items to create a comfortable workspace.
