This role plays a key part in ensuring system performance, stability, and long-term maintainability across a growing digital health ecosystem.You will take ownership of backend services and APIs, troubleshoot complex production issues, optimize database performance, and contribute to architectural decisions. Working in a remote-first and fast-paced environment, you’ll collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently.This role is ideal for a mid-level engineer who is detail-oriented, enjoys solving challenging technical problems, and thrives in collaborative environments while maintaining strong autonomy.
Must Have:3+ years of professional experience with PHP and LaravelSolid knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred)Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIsAbility to write automated API testsExperience with Git and collaborative workflows (GitHub)Familiarity with CI/CD pipelinesExperience with DockerFamiliarity with AWS or other cloud environmentsKnowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Rollbar, CloudWatch)Strong troubleshooting and debugging skillsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments
