RYZ Labs is hiring for a Data Center Electrical Engineer to design, operate, and maintain critical power systems, ensuring reliable, resilient uptime. Experience with UPS, generators, switchgear, and PDUs required. On-call rotation.Responsibilities:Design and maintain MV/LV distribution: switchgear, UPS, PDUs, ATS/STS, grounding, and bonding.Manage power reliability: capacity planning, load balancing, redundancy (N/N+1/2N), and power quality.Troubleshoot faults and perform root-cause analysis; implement corrective actions.Plan and execute preventive maintenance, testing, and commissioning (IR scans, breaker, and battery testing).Develop one-lines, as-builts, and SOP/MOP/EOPs; ensure code and safety compliance (NEC, NFPA 70/70E, OSHA).Coordinate vendors/contractors; deliver upgrades and lifecycle projects with minimal downtime.Monitor via BMS/SCADA/DCIM; track KPIs and risks.Qualifications:Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.5+ years with data center/critical facility electrical systems.Hands-on with UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, ATS/STS, and battery systems; ETAP/SKM for short-circuit/coordination/arc-flash studies.Knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70/70E, IEEE standards; commissioning experience.Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and vendor management; able to support after-hours/on-call.Preferred: PE, NFPA 70E, CDCDP/CDCEP.About RYZ Labs:RYZ Labs is a startup studio built in 2021 by two lifelong entrepreneurs.
