This role focuses on building, scaling, and stabilizing backend and frontend systems while collaborating closely with product and engineering leadership to implement new features and refine existing functionality.Key ResponsibilitiesBackend DevelopmentDesign and build backend database models and schemas using Postgres and PrismaImplement role- and permission-based API authentication using common middleware patternsDevelop and maintain an Express controller and services architecture for routing and business logicHandle communication between a Unity frontend and the API backend via a UI/API layerFrontend DevelopmentTranslate client and internal requirements into functional systems and user interfacesImplement UI designs using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSSCollaboration & MaintenanceWork closely with the team on system updates, maintenance, and new feature requirementsCollaborate with product and engineering leadership to refine and improve platform functionalityTesting & Quality AssuranceWrite unit and integration tests using Jest and related tools (Supertest, React Testing Library)Build tests to ensure platform stability and prevent regressionsQualificationsExperience3–5 years of professional web development experience (mid-level)Hands-on experience building and maintaining production systemsSkillsStrong understanding of relational data modeling using Postgres and PrismaProduction experience with Node.js, Express, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSSExperience implementing API security and authenticationFamiliarity with Git and JiraFluent English with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts and tradeoffsAbility to work autonomously while collaborating closely with a PM and tech leadExecution-focused working style as an individual contributorWhat Success Looks LikeThe admin CMS platform is successfully shipped, scaled, and stabilizedNew features are implemented and existing ones refined to meet client and internal needsStrong collaboration with product and engineering leadershipPlatform stability is maintained through robust testing and quality assuranceOpportunityThis role offers the opportunity to join a small, innovative digital agency and make a direct impact on the development of engaging digital experiences.
