About the roleAs a CAD Developer, you’ll bring essential CAD/CAM expertise into a growing development team. You’ll focus on building design tools for CAD/CAM software while bridging the current knowledge gap in tool development and CAD-specific systems.This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine software development skills in C++/C# and QT/VT with CAD/CAM systems experience to deliver practical solutions. Success means enabling the team to move faster by solving complex CAD/CAM-specific challenges, supporting tool development, and sharing your technical knowledge with teammates.
ResponsibilitiesCreate design tools for CAD/CAM software, ensuring performance and usability.Provide CAD/CAM-specific technical knowledge to a developer team currently lacking this expertise.Support the development of online CAD/CAM platforms and browser-based apps, helping scale solutions to production.Estimate time and provide progress updates (at least 3x weekly) to the team lead.Take initiative in problem solving and supporting a small but growing team, helping close key knowledge gaps in CAD/CAM tool development.
Requirements4+ years of experience in CAD/CAM systems and browser-based application delivery.3+ years of experience with C++ or C#.Proven hands-on experience with QT/VT frameworks.Experience in developing online CAD/CAM platforms or applications.Strong problem-solving skills, with initiative to tackle challenges proactively.Ability to support a small but growing team and share CAD/CAM knowledge effectively.
Nice to haveFashion design CAD experience.Familiarity with React, Python, and AWS.Additional experience with C++/C# beyond the minimum.Background in ODA and building CFX libraries (for plugins).Experience working on Linux operating systems.Knowledge of industry-standard CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator.Familiarity with CAD-specific file formats such as .dxf, .dwg, .mdl.
