Let’s build wellness for millions together.What We're Looking ForWe are seeking a highly skilled and product-focused Android Engineer with demonstrated expertise in Domain-Driven Design, cross-functional product development, and Developer Productivity. In this position, you will collaborate closely with our Product, Engineering, and Data teams to support the continued development and enhancement of our applications. You will support iterative development methods and promote data-driven decision-making to ensure high-quality and effective solutions.Key responsibilities:Co-own and take technical ownership of the team’s codebase and production systems, ensuring stability, scalability, and long-term maintainabilityLead the design and development of high-quality, performant, and maintainable mobile solutions with a strong focus on architecture and best practicesDrive end-to-end delivery by translating complex user and product needs into robust technical solutions, from discovery through productionShape the architecture and system design of the mobile application and its integrations with backend and platform servicesActively influence technical direction and raise engineering standards through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharingCollaborate cross-functionally with backend, frontend, security, infrastructure, and product teams to align on technical solutions and platform strategyServe as a trusted technical partner for product and design, contributing to roadmap discussions and technical decision-makingMentor and support other engineers, fostering technical growth and a culture of ownership and excellenceWork hands-on with a modern Android stack, including Kotlin, Coroutines and Flow, Jetpack Compose, and Jetpack libraries (Architecture Components, Navigation, DataStore, Room, Hilt, etc.)Identify opportunities for technical improvements and proactively drive initiatives that improve system quality, developer experience, and user impactDeliver high-impact features in a customer-centric environment, taking responsibility for outcomes that affect millions of usersRequired skills:Solid experience with Kotlin, including fundamentals like coroutines, networking, persistence, and performance optimizationExperience with Jetpack Compose and modular, scalable UI architecturesExcellent understanding of architectural patterns (MVVM, MVI, DI) and modular codebasesAbility to manage risks, trade-offs and propose efficient solutionsExperience with design for testability, automated tests and willingness to work in an environment where engineers own the quality end-to-endStrong ability to design for reliability, scalability, and performanceExperience working with CI/CD pipelines and tooling (e.g., Bitrise, Fastlane, Gradle, custom scripts)Strong advocate of design for testability, automated testing, and shift-left quality mindsetProduct-minded approach with a bias for pragmatic, maintainable solutionsNice to have:Experience with backend-driven UIExperience with data and/or multimediaHands-on experience with OWASP mobile security best practicesExperience implementing and advocating for methodologies that support fast iteration and high dev productivity (e.g. eXtreme Programming, Trunk Based Development, CI/CD mindset, BDD, TDD)Candidate journey: ⭕️ Recruiter call ---> ⭕️ Live Code Review --> ⭕️ System Design interview---> ⭕️ Meet the hiring manager✨ Why You’ll Love Being Part of Welltech:Grow Together: Join a culture that champions both personal and professional growth.
