Keeper Security is hiring a Data Engineer to join the AI & Threat Analytics team and help build KeeperAI Guardian, our AWS Neptune–based knowledge graph platform for behavioral threat detection and analysis. This is a 100% remote position, with an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the El Dorado Hills, CA or Chicago, IL metro areas.

About the Role
As a Data Engineer on the KeeperAI Guardian team, you will design and maintain data pipelines, APIs, and graph-based storage systems that enable behavioral threat analytics. You will transform high-volume security telemetry from multiple Keeper services into a unified knowledge graph that supports anomaly detection, predictive threat modeling, and intelligent security insights. You will work closely with ML engineers, security researchers, and data analysts to build the data foundation that makes AI-driven threat detection possible.
Responsibilities
Design and maintain ETL pipelines that ingest, process, and load data into AWS Neptune
Develop and evolve graph data models representing relationships across users, sessions, devices, and security events
Integrate diverse data sources including S3, relational databases, streaming services, and APIs into a cohesive graph architecture
Build tooling and automation for data validation, transformation, enrichment, and quality monitoring
Optimize graph query performance and ensure pipeline scalability and reliability
Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to maintain compliance with FedRAMP, NIST, and data privacy requirements
Document data workflows, schemas, and best practices to support team knowledge sharing
Requirements
4+ years of experience in data engineering or backend data systems (SaaS experience preferred)
Strong proficiency in Python for building and maintaining data pipelines
Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation
Hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, or similar
Experience with graph databases such as AWS Neptune or Neo4j, including Gremlin query language
Solid understanding of ETL best practices, data modeling, and schema design
Knowledge of data security and privacy principles, including experience handling regulated data (PII, PHI, or similar)
Strong software engineering fundamentals, including version control, testing, and CI/CD practices
Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous learning
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
Due to FedRAMP requirements, candidates must be a U.S. Person

5. International Transfers

6. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, consistent with our industry leading security standards.
7. Retention
We keep your data for 24 months from your last application activity, then delete or anonymize it.
Exceptions:
You opt into our talent database for further retention by providing consent (extended retention)
You're hired (transfers to employee records)

Access, correct, or delete your data, subject to applicable law and retention requirements

If you become an employee, your rights regarding your employee record are governed by our internal Employee Privacy Notice and certain data will be retained as required under relevant laws such as employment or tax law.
When you request access to your personal data, some information may be redacted if it includes the personal data of other individuals or information that we must protect in order to preserve their privacy rights.
