About the Role:As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at webAI, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our automated testing infrastructure. You’ll take a proactive role in improving product quality, setting testing standards, and mentoring others on automation best practices. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to ensure high confidence in every release of our distributed AI platform.This is a highly technical, hands-on role suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes ownership of quality initiatives, and enjoys solving complex engineering challenges with a test-first mindset.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain advanced automation frameworks and test suites, leveraging AI/ML for smarter, more resilient, and self-healing testing.Collaborate with product owners, developers, and data engineers to define and implement comprehensive AI-first test strategies and plans that align with business requirements and project goalsIdentify, document, and track bugs through resolution using tools like JiraDevelop and maintain QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test dataDefine testing strategies, edge cases, and automation goalsMonitor product quality metrics and proactively suggest process improvementsEnsure testing of AI models and edge-deployed systems aligns with privacy and performance expectationsIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure test coverage across new and existing featuresMentor junior QA engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote a culture of quality, accountability, and best practices across the engineering teamsContribute to overall quality initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and proposing automation-based solutionsRequired Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field5+ years of experience in test automation or software QA, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacityExpertise in one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, JavaScript.Deep experience with automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworksStrong understanding of CI/CD tooling (e.g., Gitlab runners, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and version control systems (e.g., Git)Proficiency in API testing tools and methodologies (e.g., Postman, REST-assured, Swagger)Experience testing cloud-based or distributed systemsExcellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented, analytical approachPreferred Qualifications:Experience automating tests for distributed systems, edge computing, or AI/ML workflowsKnowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other container/orchestration technologiesExperience with performance, load, or security testingExperience with configuring gitLab runnersBackground in startup environments or agile product teamsWe at webAI are committed to living out the core values we have put in place as the foundation on which we operate as a team.
